There are computer rooms and user rooms in both buildings. The computer rooms are used for teaching, that is, for guided classes with lecturers. Some of these rooms can also serve as user rooms when there are no classes.

The user rooms, however, are basically freely accessible to students, with the exception of any restrictions the Computing Laboratory might impose (giving classes, the introduction of a computer booking system, etc.).

The features of each room are as follows:

A5 Building teacher's room

The computer equipment in the A5 Building teacher's room (A5104, first floor) has been upgraded,

Two personal computers with CD-ROM and sound card (substituting the two VT terminals)
A laser printer

Access to these computers is with the same user name and password that you use in the FIB computer rooms. If you do not have this type of access privilege, you can ask for an personal account by sending an e-mail with your personal details to unaidfib.upc.edu
