The username is the National Identity Card (DNI) number, but changing the first number for the a lower-case letter as indicated below:
If, for example, your DNI number is 35078643, your user name is d5078643. The password to access the systems is initially an eight character alphanumeric string, which is given to students on enrolment in a sealed envelope. If you forget your password, you can ask for it at the Operations Service in the A5, C6 or B6 Buildings. At the Student's Corner, the password is the same eight character string. Change of passwordPasswords may be changed from the Once a month, all Unix machines password files will be checked. Users with easy passwords will be asked to change them. If it is not changed in a week, it will be changed for an automatically generated one. The purpose of this process is to avoid people gaining access to user accounts without authorisation. The following guidelines are useful when changing the password.
Try not to forget your password, since you can't access the system without it. If you forget it, ask the Operations Service to change it for you. | ||
