Can I connect from a machine outside the UPC over telnet/ssh?

R: Yes, as long as it is for educational purposes, and you follow the LCFIB rules for use.

What do I do about the window that pops up telling me I have no disk space left?

A new service is being set up in order to detect exceeded storage allocation on machines assigned to teaching activities.

MOONREY / PCs (Win/Linux): All users who are connected and have less than 600Kb of disk space remaining will receive notification by means of a pop-up message. If a user receives this message, he or she must delete everything that is not strictly necessary from the account. This process for controlling disk space allocation will run every 15 minutes.

UNIX: This service is not yet implemented.
