Access from home

Last modified: 14-06-2002

There are two ways of accessing FIB servers from outside the School:

  • UPCNET connection
  • Connection via any other Internet service provider

If you are connecting via UPCNET, you will have a UPC-rank IP, meaning more direct access. If you are connecting with any other Internet service provider, you will have to access the server via proxy.

In order to connect over samba, you will have to specifically go through UPCNET.
