Foreign students acknowledgementLast modified: 10-06-2002
Continuation of studies at UPC (RD 69/2000. BOE 22 January 2000)Students wishing to continue their current (or equivalent) university studies can apply for admission directly to the school in question, without needing to go through the pre-enrolment process, if they are acknowledged at least 60 credits or the whole first year. Students can also be admitted by the school if the result of the validation acknowledges 15 credits or one subject, and there are places available. Students who do not obtain the partial validation can access the university courses via the general application system, and by taking foreign student entrance examinations, unless their pre-university studies have been acknowledged as equivalent (i.e., vocational training or "ciclos formativos de grado superior"). All these documents must be official, original and issued by the corresponding authorities.They must be certified diplomatically: first by the Spanish consulate of the foreign country, and then by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Madrid. This does not apply to states that signed the 5/10/69 Hague Agreement. The documents can be formalised with the corresponding apostille. The translation of the rest of the documents may be asked for if necessary. If the photocopies are stamped and certified by the diplomatic or consular representation of the foreign country in Spain, it is not necessary for the original documents to be included.
